Chesterford Gardens, Hampstead
This impressive family home in Hampstead was completed in 2019 with MWAI Architects. The main house is over three floors with plant room and utility hidden in the basement. Throughout the house the floors are high end wide planks of engineered oak and the floor of the entrance and kitchen are carefully detailed Portland stone.
At ground floor level the entrance takes us past a study and media room, a cloak room and boot room, to a rear kitchen linked to the dining and living space which seamlessly open on to the terraced garden. The Lanserring kitchen uses veined marble to dramatic effect.
The staircase was fully refurbished and a triple height chandelier runs through from top to 2.5m above the lobby below.
The first floor houses the master suite and a guest room. The master bedroom is set against wall to ceiling panels housing lighting, storage and upholstered bed head. Her dressing room is comprised of bespoke joinery by Interior ID with hand painted panels of natural forms. His dressing room features elegant dark stained joinery. The master bathroom features polished plaster and solid Noire Belge stone basin, the shower and bath also use this sleek material. The guest bedroom on the first floor is stunningly detailed with chevron veneered joinery.
The second floor has four bedrooms and a small kitchen on the landing servicing this
floor. The child’s bedroom overlooks treetops with floor to ceiling cupboards featuring
mountain and cloud details. The separate top lit bathroom uses a tutti frutti Terrazzo
Murano floor, bath surround and bath wall.
